Acatian helps process-development, MSAT, manufacturing, plant-engineering, TEA, and LCA teams connect scientific models with the complete production system and the evidence behind a decision.
The product is built around explicit assumptions, reproducible runs, visible limitations, and qualified review.
Mission
Connect engineering decisions
Keep biology, process design, facility capacity, cost, environmental impact, source evidence, and review context in one governed model.
Method
Mechanistic before magical
Use explicit equations, units, balances, operating domains, uncertainty, numerical checks, and transparent AI-assisted changes that remain reviewable.
Validation
State what is proven
Separate executable software behavior, calibrated predictions, validated use cases, unresolved data gaps, and claims that still require industrial validation.
Responsibility
Keep engineers in control
Qualified teams remain responsible for GMP, safety, regulatory, equipment, control, validation, and investment decisions.
Founder & scientific background
Process research translated into engineering software.
Acatian is founded and led by Katharina Julia Brenner, an industrial process modeller, bioengineer, and PhD candidate working across bioprocess scale-up, plant-wide simulation, digital twins, TEA, LCA, and data-driven engineering.
