Editorial and comparison methodology

How Acatian develops, checks and corrects technical content.

Acatian publishes engineering guides, worked examples and software comparisons to help readers make better process-modelling decisions. This page explains who publishes the material, how evidence is selected, where commercial interests exist and how corrections are handled.

01

Publisher and purpose

Acatian Engineering is the named publisher.

Who publishes

Public technical content is published by Acatian Engineering. Where a page has a named author or reviewer, that attribution must describe a real contribution and use a verifiable identity. An organizational byline is used when no personal reviewer is declared.

Why it exists

The material is intended to help engineers, scientists, educators and buyers define modelling questions, inspect calculations, compare workflows and identify evidence required before a result becomes decision-ready.

Commercial interest

Acatian has a commercial interest in product and comparison pages because it sells bioprocess engineering software. Comparisons state this relationship and do not present Acatian as an independent reviewer of its own product.

02

Evidence hierarchy

Primary and current sources come first.

Software facts

Competitor capabilities are checked against the vendor's official product documentation and dated on the page. If a capability is not documented in the material reviewed, the page says so rather than claiming it does not exist.

Scientific and regulatory facts

Methods prioritize original research, standards and official regulatory guidance. The page links to the relevant source near the claim where practical and separates general guidance from application-specific approval.

Acatian product facts

Claims are tied to current product behavior, reproducible artifacts or an explicit evaluation scope. A synthetic benchmark demonstrates software execution, not customer calibration, GMP validation or plant-predictive accuracy.

Worked examples

Every calculation declares its basis and limit.

A useful example identifies its system boundary, units, equations, input provenance, assumptions, uncertainty and acceptance criterion.

Reproducibility

Where possible, the page supplies input tables, complete result series, checksums or a downloadable ledger so another engineer can reproduce the stated arithmetic.

Synthetic data

Synthetic examples are labelled. They illustrate a method and software behavior; they are not represented as customer data or evidence of industrial performance.

Decision boundary

Screening, design, validation and regulated use are not interchangeable. Pages state which additional customer-owned evidence and qualified review are required for higher-consequence decisions.

05

Automation and editorial control

Tools may assist drafting and consistency checks; they do not create evidence.

Permitted assistance

Automated tools may help outline, translate, edit, test links, detect inconsistent metadata and compare structured records. Calculators and build tests may verify deterministic arithmetic and page contracts.

Human accountability

Acatian Engineering remains responsible for publication choices, factual boundaries and corrections. Automated output is not treated as a source, customer evidence or qualified engineering approval.

Publication gate

A page should add a distinct answer, original calculation, useful artifact or substantive analysis. Thin query variants, invented authors, fake reviews, paid ranking links and unsupported affiliations are not acceptable.

06

Updates and corrections

Material errors are corrected transparently.

Report a correction

Email support@acatian.com with the page URL, disputed statement and a primary source or reproducible calculation. Do not send confidential process data.

Review process

Acatian checks the cited evidence, calculation boundary and current product state. Material corrections update the visible review date and the machine-readable modification date.

Uncertainty and disagreement

Where evidence remains incomplete or interpretations differ, the page should state the uncertainty and avoid presenting a disputed conclusion as settled fact.
